Queenly Purple Vanda

This was one of the biggest and most attractive Vanda orchid plants in a farm at Capiz Province. What got my attention the most was its large, fragrant reddish-purple flowers. No plucking was allowed though, so I had to make-do with just a picture.

Blooming Ents

This shot was taken from an orchid farm in Capiz Province. These were Vanda species orchids being grown on driftwood. This perspective of the orchids reminded me of Ents from The Lord of the Rings, hence the title.

Colorful Bunch

Shot at an orchid farm in Capiz Province, the various strains of Cattleya and Dendrobium orchids are indeed very beautiful and colorful to behold! These were very expensive stuff, though.

Purple at Dusk

Orchid plants growing attached to a piece of driftwood against a concrete fence. Visible behind it is a tube which is part of the house’s plumbing system. This was taken during sundown, hence the deep purplish-blue backdrop and hints of shadow.

Red on Red

A bouquet of very expensive flowers given to me, during a period of hospitalization from serious illness. The bouquet was sent by airplane from Metro Manila and delivered straight to me. It took a good number of weeks before the flowers dried out, so the bouquet was photographed on a red couch after I left the hospital.
